COP3 - Final Crit

I've had a few days since the last crit to take on board what was said and improve the wireframes for this time round. I made sure to do every page as a wireframe and include the steps of how it would work to make the most of it.

Questions

  1. What other moods would you like to see?
  2. Do you watch a film on any other service like Netflix?
  3. Is there anymore preferences you would like to see?
  4. What would you change about the key themes on the results page?
  5. What do you think to the content on the results section/

Wireframes
I did wireframes for the crit because I wanted my idea to be as clear as possible and get the feedback that I wanted on it.

I then printed out the wireframes that I made for the crit in chronological order so that my peers can understand the functionality of the app.

Feedback
I was happy with my feedback because I had thought about what I wanted to know, and went through it with my peers so they knew the concept, what I wanted to achieve etc.

Use more informal/chatty language
As my app is almost like having a conversation with someone 'what should I watch tonight?' the copy should reflect this more and be more chatty. For example, I have 'results' at the moment, but to be more chatty I thought it could be 'films to suit your mood' 'films up your street' etc.

Emphasise on Mood
As the concept of my app is based around a users mood/preferences, this should be the focus. As I was asking what I should filter the saved list by, mood should be one of them as it links back to the original filter. This makes more sense than the ones I had currently thought of, genre/rating.

More Moods
I wanted more moods to show, and so we thought of some more: car chase, mind boggling, avant-garde, nostalgia, cult classics, animation, outer space, being geeky, a right laugh, foreign.

Making Changes
As I had asked how I could improve some of the pages, Laura helped me a lot to go through these and make changes on the print out. This helped me the most I think because its good to see how another person sees the app and how they would use it, as I have been looking at it closely all week. I can now adapt these changes to my wireframes and be closer to designing it.
